AFTRA Enhances Website with "Members Only" Online Services 

Improvement Guarantees Quick, Secure Access to Membership Records,
Online Credit Card Dues Payment, Donations to AFTRA Foundation

Los Angeles, CA, August 23, 2005 – Members of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) can now log on to a secure section of the AFTRA website to pay their dues and update their records with changes to contact information, such as mailing and e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc. Members will also be able to make charitable donations to the AFTRA Foundation, and complete other transactions.

“We are proud to introduce this new section to the AFTRA website, and are excited about the opportunities it provides our members who will now be able to accomplish their business more quickly and with greater, up-to-the-minute accuracy,” noted AFTRA National Executive Director Kim Roberts Hedgpeth. “As we continue our work to maximize the resources of the organization, we hope to introduce more initiatives that increase efficiency, are responsive to member input, and further integrate our National and Local operations.”

The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists – affiliated with the AFL-CIO – is a diverse national union representing over 70,000 professional performers, broadcasters, and recording artists in 32 Locals throughout the country. AFTRA members work as actors, broadcast journalists, dancers, singers, announcers, hosts, comedians, and disc jockeys in all aspects of the media industries including television and radio, sound recordings, commercials, non-broadcast/industrials, interactive games, and the Internet.
