JOINT NEWS RELEASE

AFTRA Signs on for VOICE 2007!

San Diego, CA, February 26, 2007 - The Production Team of VOICE 2007 is excited to announce the addition of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) as a Premier Sponsor for the VoiceOver International Creative Experience which will hold its first annual event in Las Vegas, Nevada March 27-31, 2007 at Palace Station Hotel. AFTRA joins Voice123, the voice over marketplace, as a co-premiere sponsor for this first of its kind event.

A national labor union representing over 70,000 performers, broadcasters and recording artists in the entertainment and media industries, AFTRA contracts cover a wide range of voiceover work including commercials, narration, animation, promo announcements, audio books, video games, and other areas.

“AFTRA gives voiceover performers a strong voice to win better wages, benefits, and working conditions,” said Mathis L. Dunn, Jr., AFTRA Assistant National Executive Director for Commercials, Non-Broadcast, and Interactive Media. “As a premier sponsor for this exciting event, we are looking forward to sharing how professional performers realize their dreams through AFTRA.”

VOICE is an international organization founded and dedicated to the Education, Technology and Community of Voice Actors. VOICE is intended to help voiceover talent to become more effective performers, more skilled communicators, and more savvy business people by providing the training, tools, and resources needed.

Acting for voiceover is the fastest growing area of the entertainment industry. VOICE was conceived as a way to provide proper training and establish standards for those learning the business and for those who are established professionals.

Penny Abshire, of VoiceActing.com and one of the co-producers of the event says, “It will be four days devoted exclusively to the craft and business of voiceover – a live seminar jam-packed with valuable information and hands-on training taught by some of the top voiceover coaches in the country.  We are extremely honored to have such leaders in the industry as sponsors for this unique experience!”

Nationally recognized professional voice artists are currently slated for the conference including special appearances by Patrick Fraley and Bob Bergen.  Other presenters are: James R. Alburger and Penny Abshire of VoiceActing.com; Frank Frederick of Legend Corporation; Chris Wagner of WBC Design, Rodney Saulsberry, Bettye Zoller, Connie Terwilliger, Gregory Best, DB Cooper, and M J Lallo.

Major sponsors of the event include Voices.com and Commercial Voices – two of the leaders in on-line audition sites.
