AFTRA Los Angeles

January 2008
Get Ready for Primetime: Voices for Diversity As AFTRA members get ready for upcoming negotiations of Exhibit A of the AFTRA Network TV Code, it’s important that the voices of women, seniors, minorities, performers with disabilities, and the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) communities are heard. Therefore, AFTRA and SAG will co-host bicoastal meetings to review the policy of No-Discrimination/Affirmative Action, and to discuss issues you’d like considered in the upcoming negotiations. These meetings are open to all union members who work the contracts, and do not preclude individual caucus meetings of the above-mentioned group. AFTRA’s “Exhibit A” is your union’s terms for dramas and situation comedies on primetime network television (ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox) and pay TV (HBO, Showtime, and other pay channels). The non-discrimination policies are identical for both unions. LOS ANGELES NEW YORK Can't make the meetings? Keep track of Exhibit A—and negotiations for other AFTRA contracts—at www.aftra.com/negotiations.
